Prague Side Trip - Page 1

At Kiev airport, waiting for our flight to Prague.  (High-Res)

We arrived in Prague on Saturday afternoon to find that the hotel we had was about a million miles from the city centre.  We had to get on a tram and ride for about 20 minutes, then walk for 10 minutes before getting to the main Old Town Square.  Needless to say, we weren't too pleased about that, since it had happened as a result of a screw-up by a travel agent.

After about an hour, we finally made arrangements at a newly renovated hotel that was a 10-minute walk from the Old Town Square (the centre of activity in Prague).  It had only been open for a few days since they had renovated after the major floods from the previous year, so it was pretty much empty.  The location was great, the hotel was nice - couldn't ask for more.

With that squared away, we headed out for dinner (still on the first night) and a walk around the city at night.

Old Town Square at night.  Prague is just lousy with tourists - it's even worse than Paris in that respect.
